Beaches of the west Perth - Exmouth - PerthThis Western Australia beach tour is a great option for those who would like to explore the area north of the city of Perth. The highlights of this tour are a visit to the odd-looking pinnacles at Nambung National Park, a swim with the dolphins at Monkey Mia and swimming and snorkelling at the pristine Ningaloo Reef. Last but not least, you'll also get to relax and unwind on the white pearly white beaches of Coral Bay. You'll get to stroll through the streets of the typical Australian 'settler' town of Exmouth (don't forget to visit the local bar) and finally you'll travel along a different route back to Perth. You can either choose to end this trip in Exmouth or you can catch the bus back to Perth, to continue on other western Australia adventure tours from there. |

Day 1: Perth - KalbarriIncludes: lunch and dinner As you leave Perth for your Western Australia beach tour, you'll pass through the surrounding "grain belt" towns surrounding the city. The landscape will quickly become more arid and you'll begin to see the Outback stretch out before you. You may even catch a glimpse of a kangaroo or emu in its natural surroundings. After about 250km, you'll reach the Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park. The flat sand desert is interrupted here by a group of very unusual limestone pillars known as the "Pinnacles". Some are only 10cm tall but others can be up to several metres. They are the remnants of the incredible amount of erosion that has taken place here across the ages. During the months August through October, the desert is at its most beautiful. The desert gets more rain and the park's desert floor becomes carpeted by wildflowers. You'll spend the night in Kalbarri, in the heart of approximately 1000km2 bushland. |

Day 2: Kalbarri - Monkey MiaIncludes: Breakfast, lunch and dinner On Day 2 of your Western Australia beach tour, you'll visit Kalbarri National Park and the river valleys of the famous Murchison River. The coast here is a final resting ground for many Dutch ships dating back to the days of the East India Company. You'll visit the 'the Loop', Natures Window and the z-shaped gorge where you'll can also go for a swim. After lunch you'll drive on by way of Shark Bay to Monkey Mia, where you'll have an encounter with wild dolphins - a real highlight of our Western Australia beach tour. These bottlenose dolphins have been swimming here since the 60's and swim all the way to the knee-deep shallow water close the beach. At times there are only a one or two, other times perhaps five or more. During the winter you'll be able to see them daily, in the summer they visit the beach less often. You'll spend the night in Monkey Mia. |
Day 3 and 4: Monkey Mia - Coral BayIncludes: Breakfast, lunch and dinner The best time to see the dolphins is early morning, but they are wild dolphins, so we can't guarantee that you'll see them. This morning, you can take a catamaran sailing trip (to be paid locally). In the afternoon, you'll head towards Shell Beach where you'll see the stromatolites, the oldest living organisms on the planet. Afterwards you'll travel on to Coral Bay, passing the tropical plantations of Carnarvon as you go. |

Day 5, 6 and 7: Coral Bay - ExmouthIncludes: Breakfast and lunch You'll wake up early on Day 5 of your Western Australia beach tour for a swimming and snorkelling trip at the spectacular Ningaloo Reef is first up on the agenda. After lunch you'll head out on the last leg of your trip towards Exmouth. Like most who visit this dusty town, you'll probably find yourself in the cheerful local pub in the evening. The following morning you'll leave Exmouth and you'll take a different route back to Perth than you took on your way here. We have a few fun ideas for stops along the way, such as a visit to a snake and crocodile farm. You'll spend the night on an Outback farm and at the end of Day 7 you'll arrive back in Perth, where your Western Australia beach tour will finish. |
